Hello all,
I am relativly new to PowerBI, I am still trying to figure things out in it.
I am trying to create a chart that shows the commulative value of compnaies per number of employees they have
for example
Year 2012
Number of employees | Number of companies |
1 | 6565 |
2 | 3434 |
3 | 23534 |
Year 2010
Number of employees | Number of companies |
1 | 32232 |
2 | 33422 |
3 | 2123 |
My problem is that every chart type shows the first dimention correctly, and the second dimention to be a static number
like this
the x axis is caterogical (num of employees) and the y axis is the number of companies
No matter which visual I use, it is still the same

Hi @matout ,
You will need an active relationship between these tables

@matout , You can change axis scale type - Log

I also doubt that one the table for the measure is not joined with the table used on axis.
Hello,
It still does the same behavior, even though I the y axis is log and the x is caterogical.
I also used the clustered column and line chart with no luck.
As for the joing, they are not joined as I will lose some values.
However, they have one to one relationship with each other.
Hi @matout ,

This is becasue the Values of Employees are very less and number of companies value is very high
Use Combination Chart (Line and Column Chart to show the information accurately)
