Charts not filtering in directquerymode

I have a report with several charts built from the same data table in DirectQuery mode from SQL server. When I click on records in one of the charts, it should always return records in the others (which it does in import mode), however in DirectQuery, the filtered charts are just blank for some records, but filtering correctly for others. Anyone knwo if  this a limitation of DirectQuery or an issue?

Hi @doubles,

Please enable the "bidirectional cross-filtering" for a test.

@v-yulgu-msft -- after some further investigation, I believe i figured out the cause. The chart visuals I have in this report contain blocks of language from documents (that are associated with other fields in a data set). It appears that in DirectQuery, if the block of text contains a return character, when I click on it in the chart visual, the other charts display no filtered results (they display results in import mode). If the block of text does not contain any return chars, the other charts filter as expected. Any ideas?

Hi @v-yulgu-msft -- thanks for the reply. The charts are built from data from the same table, so not sure this would help.
