Chart: Show Last 12 months

Hello!

I have some charts where I need to show the last current 12 months. Below is the format that should be displayed:

My chart looks like this:

I have to drill down to get to the month data but it looks like this:

The previous year's months are gone. I noticed that PowerBI automatically sets it to the year that you prefer. But, what I need is the last 12 months regardless if some of its months are from last year.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

1. Click on your chart

2. Expand the filter pane

3. For your date and choose relative filter type, then set to be only for in the last 12 months.

@crln-blue There are a couple options for your date too! 

1. You can right-click on your date in the values secton and choose the Date (not hierarchy). If the data is daily, it will do it at that granuality but won't scroll. 

2. You can also create a calculated column to format your date into those monthly buckets.  [Axis Month] = format([Date],"MMM-yy"). You will then find they don't sort properly, so you need to create another come [Axis Month Sort] = format([Date],"yyyyMM"). Then go back to [Axis Month], and in the Column settings choose "Sort by Column" and select the [Axis Month Sort].  Then you can switch out the [Date] with the [Axis Month]. You can always still keep [Date] as a visual filter.
