Changing order of X-axis months

I have produced a variety of graphs with month as the X-axis.  They can either start at January or December etc but I want them to start in October which is when the business and revenue started.  I may also like to start them in July which is the start of the financial year.  How can I do this?

the calcualted column that holds the sorting number will be refreshed with your data each month if you use DAX not excel

You should have a seperate date table, this is the table you will add the column too.  Your date table can be created using =Calenderauto

I'm new to PowerBI but won't that mean that I won't simply be able to refresh my dashboards each month?  Does it mean I'll have create a spreadsheet from the source data every month and add a column to be used to sort the month?
