Hi there,
Struggling to solve this one...
I have two data sets.
- Resource capacity in days
- Resource-demand in days
My source data sets have dates across the columns so I unpivoted these columns, then used a DAX formula to format these to Month and Year (then had to add a date sorter column YYYYMM)
Visual 1 - Shows overall demand by month
Visual 2 - I want to show demand vs Capacity. and have this change when the month is selected in Visual 1
But... only the demand changed, not the capacity. its always stuck on overall demand
This is the relationship currently. I have tried making other relationships but doesn't solve this
Do I need a bridge table to solve this?
here is a link to files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/124DXen98lGsKn0xsZNgzhBBqt6V_pPr1?usp=sharing
Thanks for any help
@Fiona83 , Create a common date, and resource table and analyze with those
@amitchandak Thank you. I have added a common date table in the file I shared, with the following relationship
This hasn't solved the issue of updating capacity numbers on No 2 my visuals (the months are no longer in order in No 1)
How do I add a common resource table? (apologies i am a newbie at this)
Thanks
I have created a common table for resources now too - This doesn't seem to have worked
