Hello, can you help me?
I have 1 easy report and 2 databases from 2 companies, but the databases have absolutelly same structure. I prepared 1 report and then I changed data source. I see that it takes right data in edit query from second database. It can see them. But the visuals are still blank - without numbers and colors. The graphs and tables are still there, but there are empty in visual.
Do you know any solution how to completelly change data source (not only change data)?
Thank you for help.
Marie

Hi @Anonymous,
You can click Apply button in Query Editor to apply change.
When you change to second database, is there new data loaded in Query Editor? How about export the orignal reort to Power BI template, then open the template, chnage database?

Hi, sorry, but it doesn´t work. I made new reports and in this case it works.
Is it problem, when I change at first data source and I wrote something about errors? I had no idea what´s that mean. I probably canceled it or something like this. And now I can´t display again?
Can I found somewhere information about errors? It displayed in Edit Query on the top on the left side near the names of table.
Thank you for your answer,
Marie
Hi @Anonymous,
After you change data source, please make sure you have clicked Apply Change to load new data to report data model. Also you can click Refresh button in report to refresh data.

Good morning,
I didn´t find the button Apply Change during changing data source. There is only Close button.
I tried change data source to second database like this:
Firstly: Soubor > Option and setting > Edit Permission > and then changed the name of database
Secondly: Edit Queries > Advanced editor > and in every table I changed the name of database
I tried to change data source again to third database and it works. When I try it to second database for this table, it didn´t work. But I prepared any other report and they works after changing the name to second database. It didn´t work only to second database and one report.
Maybe there was some errors and I didn´t know what´s that mean. But know it didn´t display something about error. Do you know how to fing it?
Do you have any idea how to solve it?
Thank you so much for you reply,
Marie Hanzlová
