Hi guys, I have a data set which shows sales over 3 years.
My client requires a slicer which would contain "Year,Quarter and month".
If i select year,a bar chart should show sales by year for all the years,
If i select quarter ,it should show sales by quarter for the last 8 quarters and
if i select month,It should show the sales by month for the last 12 months.
And to make things worse,I'm using direct query. Any way to do this?

Hi @Anonymous,
Here is a good article about how to present the end user with a slicer on the report page with options of Year, Quarter, Month and Day and when the user selects one of the options, visuals react accordingly and display the appropriate aggregated values.
As you're using DQ, you'll need to try creating the tables mentioned in the solution on your source side(DB). Or I'll suggest you use the Drill Down feature to switch the Axis between Year,Quarter and month on the chart.
