Cannot open reports in Power BI desktop

I'm getting this message when I try to open any of my reports in Power BI desktop.  Has anyone else gotten this?

HI @jdwalker5 ,

 

With what version of Power BI are you working with?

Is it the latest July 2021 update?

If you are not using the latest version of Power BI Desktop, please update it as this seems to be a Power BI version issue which occured months back, but was resolved by using the latest Power BI update.

Thanks for the assistance.  I have the latest version, which was provided in Microsoft Store.  Odd thing is that it still was not working.  I had to follow direction in the first link you gave me, and go to Microsoft Download Center and download the file directly.  This method requires that users have admin privelages to their computers.  It is now working again.  Not sure why the Microsoft Store version was not.
