Hi All,
We are using Enterprise Gateway to connect to on premise database X. We have used database X to create the dataset in Power BI Desktop.
When we refresh the data in Power Bi Desktop, it works fine.
But when we publish it to the Service and refresh the data it gives error.
"Cannot connect to mashup data source...."
Any input on this ?
Regards,
Akash
Solved! Go to Solution.
Thank you all. Data source was already configured in the gateway. There was no other data source in the dataset.
I found the root cause. Actually the user configured in the enterprise gateway did not have access to some of the tables.
The error code "Mashup" was misleading.
So we created synonyms for the tables and the issue was resolved.
Hi Akash,
1. What is database X? SQL Server or something else?
2. Did you configure the data source in the Service?
3. What's the error message? Where did you get it?
4. Are there any other data source in your model?
Best Regards,
Dale

Hi ,
go to manage gateways on the service, from there select add data source and follow the steps provided
