Can we undelete measure ?

Hi all,

 

If we accidentally delete a measure, the PBIX not saved yet, but older saved version don't have this deleted measure, can we Undo the deletion ?

Once you save the file, you cannot go back to the previous state of the file.


You can follow these practices to avoid such losses:

1. Save your PBI files on a cloud drive like One Drive, Google Drive, etc, it will give you an option to access previous versions of the file

 

2. Prior to making any changes, always save a backup of the file

 

3. Create Folders as Development and Published, Perform development ant changes to the file saved in the Development folder and move it to Published once you publish it to the service.

Have you tried the auto recovery if the measure is still there?

Thanks but yeah, it is lost.

Probably it is a good idea to have somekind of recycle bin during editing.

Yes, thanks for the tips. This time was just accident only actually. As mentioned, I haven't save it because just realize I delete the wrong one just a second after click "Yes" to delete.

No, the only way was to get this in older version and as you said it's not there as well, there would be no way to recover that measure.
