Can we show contiguous months on a Matrix column and show related display column

My data uses a column as a slicer to filter dates and other columns. whenever i bring the date because of date format multiple months are displayed for each related date. 

is there a way to sow data only in related year and month

slicer filter based on a program which has multiple years and months

for eg prog 1 - sept-2019 -oct 2020

prog 2 - sept 2020 - nov 2021

How did you set your matrix visual? Could you please provide some sample data involved in matrix(exclude sensitive data) and the related formula if it refer any measure or calculated column? I am attaching the sample data /PBIX

I created date table using function but when the date from Date table are picked all the dates are dislayed where as there is a start date and end date for each project

secondly the display  should show the "text between delimietrs"+ targetmonth(if month) or date if no target month against the timeline.
