Can we have Two Scales on X-axis in Any Chart

Hello Everyone,

I am working on a scenario where I need more than one scale parameters in X-axis. Is it possible in Power Bi Desktop?.

I tried the Line and Stacked column chart but does not solve the problem. I tried the "Edit Parameters" option in Edit Query but it refreshes all the data again and again which I do not want, also is it available on powerbi.com?

My requirement is I want input from user to select X-axis parameter. Is there any way in Power BI to acheive this?

Thanks,

Akash Singhal

Hi @singhal14,

According to your description, do you mean you want to show two X-axis (primary and secondary) with different scales in one single chart or you want to dynamically change the scale in one X-axis?

If it is the first scenario, we are not allowed to achieve that in PowerBI (both desktop and service) currently.

To the second scenario, you can format the X-axis in the property pane. By selecting the chart visualization, you can see what settings are supported in PowerBI. We can only format the X-axis according to the options as shown in the pane.

By the way, you can try the workaround that adding two columns into Axis, then the X-axis value will be changed by drill down.
