Can we build a 2 Report page Dashboard where each page has Different RLS (2 types of RLS)?

Hi all,

I have a requirement to create a dashboard with 2 report pages, but the each page should have it's own RLS as described below

Assume I have the the 2 report pages as shown below.

ReportPage1:

ReportPage2:

BusiVivek03_2-1678717646368.png

  • If ID = 1 opens the dashboard (Sales Role)
In 1st Report page, he should see his respective record (1 record)
In 2nd Report page, he should see all the sales related records (4 records)
  • If ID = 2 opens the dashboard (Admin Role)
In 1st Report page, he should see all the records
In 2nd Report page, he should see all the records

Is there any possibility to achieve the requirement, please let me know

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi @Anonymous ,

It's possible.

There might be two ways to solve it.

First: You have two pages in the same report. The table visual on the first page is applied by RLS. The table visual on the second page is from a seperate table, i.e. it has nothing to do with RLS filtering, so all data is displayed. Then pin two pages into the dashboard.
Second: You create the first page and the second page in the two reports. Then pin the pages of the two table visuals to the dashboard.

Best Regards,

Stephen Tao
