Can't sign in

So I've tried to sign into the desktop application with my Power BI account countless times, without any joy and rather frustratingly, without an error message.  I've tried File - Sign In; I've tried the sign in button in the top right hand corner; I've tried to sign in when attempting to browse the Store for customer Visuals; I've tried to sign in from the screen that apperars after launching the app.  I enter my email address (it is a work email) and click Sign In, the dialogue box disappears and nothing happens.  This happened on the previous June version, and now on the July update I downloaded this morning.

Can someone please help, I only want to sign in to my account!

That's not necessarily an issue with the Desktop app, I am not seeing that in either the June or July update. That being said, looks like they released another July version either yesterday or today. The first July version was:

2.48.4792.481 64-bit (July 2017)

The second is:

2.48.4792.721 64-bit (July 2017)

Yes I have yesterday's version installed, the issue has persisted across 2 different versions for me.

You said it may not be an issue with the Desktop app, where could the issue lie in that case?

Well, let's just say that it is not a bug in Desktop that everyone is experiencing. It may be a bug with your particular mix of software/OS installed.

But in terms of sign-in issues, it could be anything from issues with your browser to network connectivity.

What OS are you running and version of IE and Office and version of Power BI Desktop, 32-bit or 64-bit.

I am on Windows 10, Edge/IE11, Office 2016, 64-bit.

Windows Server 2012 R2, IE11/Chrome, Office 2013 is installed but not used on this machine, 64-bit.

Hi @cbren88,

I am on Windows Server 2012 R2, IE11, it works fine. If there is any error message when you sign in Power BI service? And you can connect your IT department to check if there some issues on your work account.
