Hi all, I am trying to import a odata feed from a sharepoint site. All lists come normally but in one of them I get the error:
DataSource.Error: OData: Request failed: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.
Details:
DataSourceKind=OData
DataSourcePath=https://[site]/_vti_bin/listdata.svc/[ListName]
I am thiking if this could be related to the fact that the list has folders along with the items and how to solve it?
Any ideas?
EDIT: In case anybody wants to reply 'Use Sharepoint list import' I am using odata because of the advantages I get from there, basically all user data related, automatic type detection etc. Obviously if I can't get around this error this is what I will be using so no need to reply with that.
Hi @rssilvaba ,
You may upgrade the Power BI Desktop to the latest version, then go to File->Options and Settings->Data Source Settings->Global permissions in Power BI Desktop, find the that stored your data source, click "Clear permissions".
Then go to File -> Options and settings -> Options -> Diagnostics and click "enable tracing", then connect to your data source again and check the detailed logs in the traces folder. Also please help to post the detailed logs here. You can also use Fiddler to monitor the Http traffic between Power BI Desktop and SharePoint, and check what is going on in the background.
Best Regards,
Amy

Hi @v-xicai, I tried that but the many times I tried I get the same error back. I ended using Odata for all the other columns but SP Online List for the problematic one. I wonder how I can get the same behaviour for a SP Online List to have the data types autodetected.
Thank you all anyways

Hi @amitchandak, Thanks for the reply. I checked the links but they are not really related to my issue I can connect and query all lists but one. Which has unique permissions. But for that list works normally with Sharepoint Online LIst Connector.
If you have anything that can help with the case of OData feed having issues in lists with unique permissions please let me know.
