This is a Tachometer 5 Ranges. I've tried to format the measures displayrd in the visual by changing the format of the mesasures to $ currency but they continue to display as shown below. Can someone tell me how to change the format of the numbers to $ and add decimal points?

I think you can try to format your whole number type column as $#,##0.00;($#,##0.00) in custom format. Then your data will show in $ currency. You can find it in model view.
Result is as below.
