So I downloaded the bug-ridden August 2022 version of desktop. It has been playing havoc with a report that I need to refresh and so I tried to rollback using a previous installer I had saved. When running the installer it said I had to uninstally the current version. No problem...
Well when I try and uninstall it says I have PBI running and I need to close it, but the only thing running is the uninstaller! I close every process down in Task Manage, try again and I get the same. It looks like the uninstaller trips itself out thinking PBI is running!
I downloaded the QFE for AUgust 2022 and tried an install, normally this would overwrite the existing install with no problems but I'm getting the same issue!
Microsoft sort out your software please!!!

Update - I deleted all files from Program Files, deleted the registry entry and rebooted and was able to uninstall from Add or Remove Programs. Now for a fresh install.
