Can power BI dashboard accept user input and query database dynamically?

Can Power BI be used as a visual studio application to enter input in a text box and query the data behind the scene?  User would like to query the data by inputting a specific customerID on the dashboard. I am not sure if that feature is available in Power BI

Hi @nvalPBI ,

The easiest way is to create a slicer with customer ID. And then pin a entire live page to the dashboard.

Thank you for your prompt reply.  Could you please let me know the Power Apps which can work with Power BI?

You can use Power Apps and Power BI together.
Power Apps to collect data then use Power Automate to refresh your Power BI whenever there's any edit on the Power Apps.
