Can not transform variables in Direct Query (PowerBI Desktop)

Hello everyone,

I am using Direct Query in Power Bi Desktop, due to the high volume of data I need to process.

I am able to create new columns by dividing for example by 1000 to change the field units, however, the the variable created by doing this, is stored in "General" format, instead of "Decimal".

Due to this, I can not display this variable in a chart, as is not in a proper format.

So I thought I could go to Edit Queries again, and change its format, but when I do this, and try to close and apply the changes after that, a message pops up saying that theses changes can not be applied if I am using Direct Query. It also suggest me in that moment to change the way of getting data to Import tables, but it does not work when I press on that button, I also get an error.

Can someone give me a hand on this matter please?

Thank you sou much in advance!
Antonio

@antonioaceituno ,

In the model pane, change the storage mode from direct query to import like below:

I can not use that option, as the data to import would be extremely high. I already tried it.

Thanks!
