Can i use Enter Data to write back to the report

Hi All,

Once i create a report , can i add enter data (editable by the user), where the user can add data , which inturn canbe harnessed by the report ? For example in my report if i have customer, gross sales (populated from ssas), net sales (not populated and it will be a calculated field (gross-discount)). In the enter data i will have two columns (customer, discount). My question is when the user enters the customer name and discount, will that populate the the (netsales) column in the report?

Thanks

Hi @amybi,

In Power BI, it doesn't allow users to enter any data value which are used to generate dynamical report. Besides, calculated column is static once it is initialized. If you want to make the net sales to be calculated dynamically, I would suggest you create a measure for it which is corresponding to slicer selection. Insert a slicer in report so that users can select any item, while entering any value is not supported now.
