Hi all,
I want to use the value from a what-if report parameter to form part of an If analysis column in another table. The steps I used are:
1. Create the parameter; a Multiplier table is formed with Multiplier Value column.
2. Created a column in another table. Use a formala such as If (X > Multiplier[Multiplier Value]....
On its own, the parameter changes values. However within the column, only the parameter's default value is recognized.
Is there a work around to attain this?

Columns are not dynamic, they are calculated at the time of data load. You need to use a measure.
Hi @sugra
Yes, please create a measure instead.

Thanks Maggie and Greg,
I have a follow up question.
I tried to change the column to a measure, but it did not accept it. The formula I am trying to get working is for values in each row to be compared to the parameter and be given a category.
Parameter Multiplier[Multiplier Value]
Measure = IF([Field 1] > Multiplier[Multiplier Value], "A", IF ([Field 2] = Multiplier[Multiplier Value], "B", IF([Field 1] < Multiplier[Multiplier Value])))
It works in the Column but not in a Measure.. ( I assume because measure is expected more of a calculation than evaluation).
Is there an alternative way to a achieve this?
