Can a Slicer filter a "normal" filter?

Hello Everybody,

I am using a (date) slicer in one of my reports. It works well for all the visuals but when it comes to my "normal" filters on the right side of the report the data is not filtered. The "normal" filter on the side contains a list of customers that grows very big over time so it would be nice to prefilter it with this date slicer - is that possible?

@RemoH,

So these won't get affected by the filter slicer, but its vice versa this filter pane if filtered to a specific year for example it will affect the filter slicer if it's in the specific page filter or all pages or the specific visual.

you could learn more about it here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/consumer/end-user-report-filter

Hello Idrissshatila,

sorry for not being precise enough. By normal filter I mean those filters which are located on the right side (left to the "Visualizations" and "Fields"). Those filters that you can apply to "visuals","the site" or "all sites". So just "filters" in contrast to slicers, that you have to drag onto your report. I hope that this clarifies what I mean.filters.PNG

Thank you for your answer and the link. So there is no way the slicer can affect those filters in the filter pane. That's unfortunate but thanks for your help again.
