Can On-Premise Data Gateway and PowerBI successfully connect to SAP-BW 7.0?

I wanted to know if I can establish a connection B/W SAP-BW 7.0 using the On-Premise Datagateway, I was looking for this information in the Microsoft documentation but was not able to find it anywhere, am not sure where this information resides. 

Can anyone point me at the right direct.

As I know, SAP BW is an available data source that we can add it to gateway. Please refer to the online document.

The other case does not provide me enough details to believe that SAP-BW v7.0 will work with the powerbi connector and on-premise data gateway. Is there any way I can find this information.

Hi @Anmolgan ,

As the whiter paper, Power BI uses a newer interface that is available in SAP BW version 7.01 or higher. The interface reduces memory consumption and the result set is not restricted by the number of cells.

Does that means powerbi connector will not work with sab bw 7.0 version? And we need to upgrade??
