Can I save a Union Table & eliminate the original tables to save on file size?

I'm working with very large data sets & have the data combined using a union table.  Is there a way to save the union table & then delete the original files to save on file size?  Current file size is 1.5GB with the union table...

You couldn't do this data model, for union table is also based on original table in data model.

But you could Append all the original tables in Edit Queries, then delete the original tables in Edit Queries.
