Calling Azure Machine Learning Web Services from within Power BI Desktop

Dear friends,

I have developed several forecasting models using R in the Azure Machine Learning Studio environment and have deployed those models as web services.

I would like to know if there is a way to visualize those web services from within PowerBI Desktop.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Cheers,

Paul

Visualizing and exploring the results of your Azure Machine Learning Studio (ML Studio) experiments is useful both when developing and evaluating the model but most importantly when deploying your model and presenting the results. With Power BI Desktop this can be done in two ways, either by writing the results from the model to a database that you then connect Power BI to, or by using an R script visual (Rviz).

You can get data from API with Power Query in Power BI Desktop. I assume your web service returns a JSON. You can format the JSON into a Table format. Then you can populating this dataset into any visuals you created. Please refer to articles below:

Also you can use R visual, you can put your R script generate a chart. See a similar thread below:

Hello everyone,

So I have developed several forecasting models as web services using Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio, and would like to be able to visualize those web services from within PowerBI Desktop.

Is there a way to accomplish this? Can I view models created in Azure from PowerBI?

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Cheers,

Paul
