Calculations groups - Measure problem (Rank measure based on cg-measure selector)

Hello,

Sorry if double posting, my prev. version of this post seemed to disappear.

I have a problem when using Calculations Groups for both measure selection and measure variants (time periods etc.) Pls. see the link for details, I have tried to make it as precise and short as possible:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/sf0euqj5bz2huug/PowerBI%20Calculation%20Group%20Problem.pdf?dl=0

I have tried several combinations of the Calculation Group's precedence (as "cg_myFacts" seem to overrule "cg_rank Variants" in the table to the right) but to no avail.

Thank you very much in advance.

Br, Morten

Hi @morrtenjansen

You could build all measures in desktop first (easier for you to check whether they works well) and then build calculation groups by them in Tabular Editor.

You may refer to this blog: Creating calculation groups in Power BI Desktop using Tabular Editor, it could help you solve your problem.

If this reply still couldn't help you solve your problem, please show me more details of your data model and the result you want.

Could you show me a sample like the data model you are calculating? It may help me understand your requirement.

Or you could share you pbix file with me by your Onedrive for Business.

Best Regards,

Rico Zhou
