Calculation to a specific channel.

Hi all,

I am creating a report to count the individual sales per channel.

This is usually an easy task to master; but I am having to do a different step:

There are 5 distinct channels:

Broadcast

Digital

Social

Offline

Other

Before displaying the total sals per each; there should be an underlying measure for Radio's count.

Broadcast = total sales( count of calls * multiplier)

How do I incorporate this into a single table along with the count of all the other channels?

If you need more information; I will provide!

Thanks.

There is a matrix with a final result that looks like this:

 multiple.PNG

There are multiple Channels in one field.. And one "Total Sales" number that is being filtered by month.

The problem is... there is a different calculation for one specific channel.. that can't be applied to the rest.

The 'Broadcast' channel......

The formula for the broadcast channel looks like this:

= Total YTD Broadcast Sales + (# of broadcast sales MTD * .168)

How do I get this Calculated into this matrix without it being applied to any other channels??

HI @Anonymous,

Write a measure to instead the default summary column, add if statement to check channel name to switch different calculation formula.

Sample:

Check Masure=
var current_channel=LASTNONBLANK('Table'[channel],[channel])
return
IF(current_channel="Broadcast","specify formula","YTD formula")

Hi @v-shex-msft

Thanks for the response.

I used this measure:

New Result =
var current_channel=LASTNONBLANK('Channel'[Channels],[Channels])
return
IF(current_channel="Broadcast/Radio",[Broadcast Formula],[Sales Total])

But it still did not apply the formula to the Broadcast Channel.. Any thoughts?

I am wanting to apply the formula to every instance where broadcast is the channel.. is Lastonblank the apppropriate DAX?

Hi @Anonymous,

Can you please share your sample pbix file to test?
