Calculation error SUMX in table - Returns wrong value

Hi all, I am trying to multiple 2 value within a table using SUMX expressions. However the return values is invalid.

This is my formula :

Measure 2 = sumx(P2MasterList3,P2MasterList3[Value]*P2MasterList3[Current Level])

Performing individual check on both Value and Current Level returns the following results

Sum of P2MasterList3,P2MasterList3[Value] = 259950.41
Sum of P2MasterList3[Current Level]) = 1171

Measure 2 = 1370392.17 invalid, the result should be 259950.41 * 1171

Please help

Hi @Anonymous,

Please refer to sumx-function-dax. You can find the root cause easily with that. The Sumx evaluates every row of the first parameter and sums them up. Please refer to the example below.

Value   Current Level

2                 3

4                 5

Sumx will return 2 * 3 + 4 * 5 = 26, which IS NOT (2 + 4) * (3 + 5) = 48.
