Calculating Date to month based on count distinct

Hi,

I need to display a measure displaying the number of current users for the month. I thought that this would work:

Distinct Count MTD = TOTALMTD( DISTINCTCOUNT('Overview VNB Anträge'[Verteilnetzbetreiber]),'Date Query'[Date])

I don't get an error message, but the measure returns an empty value. Normally that works fine with sums...how would you approach this?

Only Power BI novices still use TOTALMTD

It is best practice to use a Calandar table for all Power BI date logic

Then your answer will be something like  ....

Distinct Count MTD = 
CALCULATE( 
DISTINCTCOUNT('Overview VNB Anträge'[Verteilnetzbetreiber]),
Calendar(MonthOffset) = 0)

Distinct Count previous month = 
CALCULATE( 
DISTINCTCOUNT('Overview VNB Anträge'[Verteilnetzbetreiber]),
Calendar(MonthOffset) = -1)

Distinct Count YTD = 
CALCULATE( 
DISTINCTCOUNT('Overview VNB Anträge'[Verteilnetzbetreiber]),
Calendar(YearOffset) = 0)

Distinct Count previous quarter = 
CALCULATE( 
DISTINCTCOUNT('Overview VNB Anträge'[Verteilnetzbetreiber]),
Calendar(QuarterOffset) = -1)
