Calculating Attrition Rate

Hello,

I hope you can help me.

I am trying to calculate the attrition rate of Employees. The formula that I have to use is:

Ave# of Employees = Beginning Headcount + Ending Headcount / 2

Attrition Rate (%) = Total# of Termination / Ave# of Employees * 100

And below is my dataset:

Hi @PatrickLamoste,

I have a little confused about your scenario.

I am trying to calculate the attrition rate of Employees. The formula that I have to use is:

Ave# of Employees = Beginning Headcount + Ending Headcount / 2

Attrition Rate (%) = Total# of Termination / Ave# of Employees * 100

What is the Beginning Headcount, the ending Head count and the Total# of Termination?

If it is convenient, could you share your desired output based on the data sample you shared so that I can understand your scenario better and get the solution quickly.

Best Regards,

The beginning headcount is the number of employees for my case it's April 1 as it is our FY start date. The end headcount is the total number of employees left at the end of the period March 31. Get their sum and then get the average.

Termination is the number of employees who left the organization.

FInally, divide the number of termination with the average employees to get the attrition rate.

The output that I need is to get the attrition rate either monthly or annually.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you!

Please guide, how to calculate average number of employees in a spesific month ?

i have calculater in my dashboard and all related data but im stuck in it.
