Calculated columns with columns from different tables

Hi ,

I want three different meassures (3 calculated columns). Each of them is the difference of two columns (X - Y) from from different tables.

Column X is in table 1

Column Y is in table 2

Relationships between tables is one to many.

I have created the first meassure which works fine:

_Horas Des CS = ('0105-HP4-Incurridos 201901_P'[Horas Consultoría]- CALCULATE(sum('0105-HP4-general 201901_P'[Horas previstas consultoria]);ALLEXCEPT('0105-HP4-general 201901_P';'0105-HP4-general 201901_P'[Horas previstas consultoria])))

But when I tried to create the second calculated column I obtain an error related with "circular dependencies".

Any idea?

Thanks in advance

Any ideas?

Hi @Ley ,

There is a good description for circular dependencies: https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/understanding-circular-dependencies/.

It does not allow to have two calculated columns that contain measures that are also based on that table.   As a workaround, you may try to convert these into measures instead of column.

You can refer to the similar case: "A circular Dependency was detected" error while creating a calculated column.
