Calculated Sum filtering

I'm trying to write a measure that will serve as a basis for conditional formatting. I want to highlight the a given JOB # blue if the FG sum exceeds the RUN_QTY, but I need to filter the finished goods quantity by Machine Number and Pass Number. Right now I can only get it to return the full sum of FG...

Measure = CALCULATE(SUM(SPEC_DETAILS[NET_FG_SUM]))

I got the result I want, but I'm not sure if it's especially efficient or not:

SUMX(FILTER(SPEC_DETAILS,SPEC_DETAILS[MACH_DESCR]=SELECTEDVALUE(PLAN_LINEUP[MACH_DESCR]) && SPEC_DETAILS[PASS_NO] = SELECTEDVALUE(PLAN_LINEUP[PASS_NO])),SPEC_DETAILS[NET_FG_SUM])

@dpiechowski cannot say anything until I get to see sample data and expected output, if it is working and the performance is good then you are good to go.
