Hi,
I am trying to create a calcualted column that creates ranges based on values. In the example People with have varying number of apples, and based on the number of apples, I want to create a column that puts them in a range. IN my example below, if a person has anywhere greater than 10,000 apples, then write >10,000, and so on and so forth for the following ranges, >10,000, 10,000-5,000, 5,000-2,000, 2,000-1,000, 1,000-500, 500>
Name | # of Apples | Range |
Jack | 10,001 | >10,000 |
John | 5,698 | 10,000-5,000 |
Jill | 290 | 1,000-500 |
Jenny | 3 | 500> |

Should probably do this with Groups. If you want a column, just use SWITCH:
Range =
SWITCH(TRUE(),
[# of Apples] > 10000,"> 10,000",
[# of Apples] > 5000,"10,000-5,000",
[# of Apples] > 2000,"5,000-2,000",
[# of Apples] > 1000,"2,000-1,000",
[# of Apples] > 500,"1,000-500",
"<500"
)

worked perfectly! Thank you
