Calculate The Average Product Sales Per Month

Hi

I am trying to create a column with the average per month of individual skus sold.  This is over a 3 Year period.

I have tried a few methoods but so far this has not worked.  any help would be much appreciated.  All i want is a coulmn to show the average amont of times a sku was sold in the month .

Try using two-measure like this. You can visualize it by month -year

 
Sales = SUM('sales'[sales ])
SKU Avg = 
AVERAGEX(
    VALUES(ITEM[ ID])
    , [Sales]
)
