CRM Online and MailChimp

Hi,

I'm trying to connect the mailing lists in MailChimp to entities in CRM to see who is in MailChimp and if they are a Lead or a Contact etc.

I'm struggling to do this with MailChimp as one of the data sources.  Has anyone been able to do any analysis of MailChimp and CRM Online data together or am I looking in the wrong place and this would be in CRM under a mailchimp table?

Anyone have any pointers please?

Many thanks

Hi, I know this reply is very late. Since the Mailchimp service pack was deprecated, you would have to look for another way. As a workaround, maybe you can use a 3rd party connector, it can save you a lot of time compared to other options. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Mailchimp connector in the data sources list:

After that, you will have to first create a secret API key in your Mailchimp account and then using your credentials add your account to the platform.

Once you’ve done this, you can proceed and go to the “Preview and destination” step

There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url

What exactly is the problem you're experiencing? Are you having trouble actually connecting to these sources, or are you having trouble creating relationships between tables after querying the sources, or what?

Sorry that was a bit vague!

I can connect to my data sources successfully.  I can't find the table with the data I need in MailChimp.

We have a list in Mailchimp of All Subscribers that has been created.  From what I've been told it's just a name and email address.  There's no other information on industry or Company name for instance.   That's all stored in CRM.  When I connect to MailChimp I'm presented with lists but they seem to be summaries of grouped data.

I'm trying to find this list of all subscribers in MailChimp and then find a way of linking it back to records in CRM so we know who they are.

Many thanks
