Hi,
Hopefully this should be a quick fix for some of the gurus out there.
I've got the following DAX structure to return a summarized view of the last snapshot.
latestview = CALCULATETABLE(
SUMMARIZE(
table,
col1, col2, col3),
YEAR(tab1[Effective Date])=YEAR(NOW()) && MONTH(tab1[Effective Date])= MONTH(NOW())-1)
This generally runs all well to return the latest snapshot loaded (last month) but given the new year fails to render because of the YEAR condition. Is there a better way to construct the filter to return last month?

Try This. I have not tested this
latestview = CALCULATETABLE(
SUMMARIZE(
table,
col1, col2, col3),
YEAR(tab1[Effective Date])=YEAR(date(YEAR(TODAY()),MONTH(TODAY())-1,DAY(TODAY())))
&& MONTH(tab1[Effective Date])= MONTH(date(YEAR(TODAY()),MONTH(TODAY())-1,DAY(TODAY())))
Or
latestview =
Var _date = date(YEAR(TODAY()),MONTH(TODAY())-1,DAY(TODAY()))
return
CALCULATETABLE(
SUMMARIZE(
table,
col1, col2, col3),
YEAR(tab1[Effective Date])=YEAR(_date) && MONTH(tab1[Effective Date])= MONTH(_date)
