I'm trying to sum some values using a measure.
What am I doing wrong?
Wholesale Revenue = calculate( sum('All Invoices'[Total Before Tax]),Filter ('All Invoices', 'All Invoices'[Is Wholesale]=1))
The above works perfectly, but
PY Wholesale Revenue = calculate( sum('All Invoices'[Total Before Tax]),Filter ('All Invoices', 'All Invoices'[Is Wholesale]=1),sameperiodlastyear('Date'[Date]))
Doesn't give me anything?
Thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
You should try this:
CALCULATE([Wholesale Revenue], SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR('Date'[Date]))
What you are doing wrong compared to the first measure is the following:
You first want to do a CALCULATE like you are doing with Wholesale Revenue, and then add SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR() as another CALCULATE.
In your example you are trying to do everything inside the same CALCULATE, thus the filter isnt applied where you want to. One good rule is to create a standard measure for a calculation and after that create others on top of that.
Try that and let me know if it works 🙂
