Bypass date filter for overdue projects

I am creating a project list that shows what projects are upcoming based on a date slider.

The date slider is based off of a calendar table from today() to 12/31/2020.

I want to always show overdue projects (due date is in the past) even if the date slider is moved. It defaults to show (BLANKS) which makes sense since they wouldn't be in the calendar table. Once the date is moved, overdue projects disappear. Is there a way to keep blanks selected even if the slicer is adjusted?

The easiest way would be to create a second table that just shows overdue projects, and then use the Edit Interactions option to have the slicer not affect the overdue table.

I'm not sure of a good way to otherwise filter the data from the same table into the same visual without getting really weird with measures.  As you can see here and here, other people have run into the same issue you have.  Doesn't look like there's a fix

I think you're right unfortunately. Hopefully this is something that will be added in the future, but they have so many requested features, who knows haha. I went ahead and just made a seperate table for overdue projects. Thanks!
