Bursting PowerBI Report Builder Paginated Report

I have a paginated report that I push to PDF.  It works great.  Each page is an Employee.  Is there a way to burst this report so instead of a 10 page PDF I have a PDF for each Employee?  So 10 PDFs?  If yes, can the name of the PDF be a data item?  TIA

Hi @Razorbx13,

Perhaps you can try to use export rest API, it allows you to invoke this feature with parameters if you configured on your reports.

Export paginated report to file (preview)

Hi @Razorbx13

I'd create Employee Name as a Parameter.

Then set up a subscription for each Employee Name/Paramater and you can adjust the name of the Report in the email/subscription box.

Have you worked with Parameters before?

Parameters, a little.  If I use them, can I just print to PDF and it will burst each employee automatically in one fell swoop?  I do not have 10 employees, I have 164 and do not want to enter each employee.

Hi,

as far as I'm aware, I don't think Paginated Reports works like that.

It won't split it automatically into 164 individual reports, you would need to create 164 different subscriptions.
