Build new coumns base on previous coulumns

Hi everybody,

I am creatyng a table in powerr bi using ADX and a question has raised up,

I have created two columns and need to create column three base on the result of column one and two, I have noticed than even I have saved the table with the frist two tables, but those fields are not available to math and built the third one, my question is why those fields are not availeble and ready to be used to build new columns?

Is it a limitation of the tool? or is it a bad knowledge from my about the table cration?

 Column 1 Column 2  Column 3

Hi @Rigoleto

When you say columns are not avaialble, am not sure where you are looking for as you didnt attach the snapshot. But , once you created table using DAX ( In Modelling-> New Table) , it appears in the fields section with columns. You can create 3rd column as calculated column as you need.

Please note that this table wont be available in Power Query/ Query Editor as its created in DAX.

If i didnt answer your question, please post snapshot for more details

Thanks

Raj
