Bug? Chart: Date, name is not Correctly captured

 

2018-07-31 00:00:00 is illustrated as August
2018-08-31 00:00:00 is illustrated as  September
2018-09-30 00:00:00 is illustrated as  October
2018-10-31 00:00:00 is illustrated as  November
2018-11-30 00:00:00 is illustrated as  December
2018-12-31 00:00:00 is illustrated as  blank

 

If you use a date pre last day of the month , i.e. 2018-12-04 00:00:00 , it will illustrate correctly Dec 2018

Hi @Anonymous,

 

By my test with the latest version(2.65.5313.841) of Power BI Desktop, everything works as expected.

Please check if you have installed the latest version of Power BI Desktop firstly.

 

I have tested with enter data, what is your data source? If it is convenient, could you describe you scenario in more details so that we could help further on it?

What appears to be causing the issue, I have 3 scenario's I have a many to 1 Relationship setup between the SQL , view and table 1) View Col: [BalanceDate] and 2) Date Dimension Table column [Date]; If I create a chart using the ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ View column [BalanceDate] on the X Axis & ***Set a relationship to Date Dimension Table column [Date] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2018-07-31 00:00:00 is illustrated as August 2018-08-31 00:00:00 is illustrated as September 2018-09-30 00:00:00 is illustrated as October 2018-10-31 00:00:00 is illustrated as November 2018-11-30 00:00:00 is illustrated as December 2018-12-31 00:00:00 is illustrated as blank If I create a chart using the ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date Dimension Table column [Date] & Set a relationship to Date Dimension Table column [Date]; it illustrates correctly ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I create a chart using the ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- View column [BalanceDate] on the X Axis (****no relationship**** to the Date Dimension Table column [Date] ; it illustrates correctly ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I Verified the Relationship in SQL , illustrates correctly SELECT D.Date,A.BalanceDate FROM [IMPORT_REPORT_DATA].[dbo].[DateDimension]D INNER JOIN [dbo].[VW_RPT_PortfolioReview_6month]A ON D.Date = A.BalanceDate
