Hi All

Please someone help in adding both legend and tooltips in line chart. Beacuse PBI desktop is not allowing me to ON both legends and tooltips in line chart

I am using a  line chart, x axis - year & y axis - values, Legends- list of back dated days from current date,(each line in chart represent selected day), tooltips - need to show year name(short date) x-axis, value - y axis, selected date from legend and some other info from main table.

Hi @MhKT ,

On Power BI using legends the limitation is that you cannot use more than one value on the Y-axis, so or you use legends or you use different metrics on the y-axis, but you can add has many values on the tooltips.

However be carefull because the way the tooltips work is similar to values so if you add a text field it will by default select the first value.

There is also limitation on the tooltips if you are using calculation groups, since this disable the option to use implicit measure on your values or tooltips, meaning that if you are using text fields they will not be added to the tooltip you need to create a measure like SELECTEDVALUE, CONCATANEX, MAX, ... to get the values.

If you are not abble to solve it can you please share a mockup data or sample of your PBIX file. You can use a onedrive, google drive, we transfer or similar link to upload your files.

If the information is sensitive please share it trough private message.

Regards

Miguel Félix
