Bookmark Question

Hi,

Wondering if this situation can be achieved in PBI.

Let's say there are 4 bookmarks on ONE page.

  • Two of the bookmarks (bookmark #1 and #2)to have one filter which are the same
  • The other two (bookmark #3 and #4) don't have any filters.

Here is the scenario:

  • Between #1 and #2, the filter should retain it's value selection. Let's say selected value is 'A'. (this is achieved)
  • When going to #3  or #4, the filtered value ('A') get's dropped with all values selected.
  • If the two above can be achived, then would it be possible that #1 and #2  be able retain it's selection ('A') when switching back from #3 or #4.

This would be great if possible.

You will need to play with the settings for the bookmarks. When you create a bookmark, you can have them apply to all visuals, just selected visuals when updating the bookmark, etc. The Data will affect filters. But you need to think in terms of #3 & 4 having a filter that is "all" not as not having a filter. No filter is a filter. 😁

Without knowing more about your scenario, or providing a sample PBIX, I'd say you need to update bookmarks 3 & 4 after you have de-selected any filters so ALL are showing, then update 1 & 2 with "A" selected, or 1 & 2 updated to ignore data (uncheck data) in the image below to retain user filters.
