Hi,
Just want to get some input. for a bar chart, when we have long name for the Axis, such as this :
The name is truncated.
When space is matter, means if possible not too large/wide of that visual, but still we can see the description nicely. What would be the best bar chart, which perhaps I must add more custom visual. Or how usually we can handle this to get more clear info ?
Thanks,
@admin_xlsior I like to use the Table visual and add 'data bars' as conditional formatting on the values. It lets you resize the labels to be as long as you want, and allows for text wrapping too. 🙂

@admin_xlsior , I recently use Charticulator, There we can change the space and even move these labels to a position we want.
See if these can help Charticulator Part 1 - Bar and Bar Matrix: https://youtu.be/tKgG0arMaOw
Hi both,
Thank you for all the input. I will try my self.
I've just come to a quite good visual, which is the horizontal bar chart, whereby the name is inside the bar (or can change to below the bar horizontally, if change shape)
However there is one flaw here, is that when the items only few (two or three) it will automatically scale up.
This is when I didn't filter anything, there are many other items below it but zero :
And after filter to exclude the zero which cause my data to only have those 3, then it will be like this :
Quite unnecesarry, I wish I can turn that auto scale off 😂
Thanks again
Hi @admin_xlsior,
Current power bi not able to accurately control the autoscale feature, perhaps you can submit an idea for this requirement.
