Best practice gurus - looking for simple of filtering by current month.

Its really not a complicated thing to do, and there are many versions of what i see people putting up, but what in your opinion, if you are for example creating a measure and you only want to return data for the current month.

is this the most elegant way to do it?

calculate(sum(measure), filter(date, month(now()) = month(date[date])

                                                and year(now()) = year(date[date]))

@vanessafvg,

Though not yet proficient, you may try the following boolean expression.

Table1[date] >= DATE ( YEAR ( NOW () ), MONTH ( NOW () ), 1 )
    && Table1[date]
        < DATE ( YEAR ( NOW () ), MONTH ( NOW () ) + 1, 1 )
