Best Practice to embeed design patterns as background

Hi experts!

I would like to put a background - full page/ left side/ bottom - into our reports.

Based on your knowledge and experience, what is here the best way to embeed pictures as background? Or even just big logos/ icons?

As a PNG, JPEG using "Add Picture" ?

I'm grateful for every tipp and trick.

Hi @joshua1990 ,

Use PowerPoint, add logos, background forms, i.e. rectangles with gray fill color in different parts of the canvas, pictures or whatever you want.

Then save the file as jpg.

Go back to Power BI Desktop, go to Format your Report Page in the Visualizations pane, Canvas background, Image, and select your file you just saved from PowerPoint as jpg. Make the image fit to full or fit, as you see more convenient.

Set the transparency to 0%.

Hope it helps.

@calerof : Hi, that works fine, thanks. Just one issue here. In PowerPoint the slide is sharp and perfect. The picture itself as a PNG is also perfect. But in PowerBI as a Background the logo and text is no longer sharp enough. How can I adjust this?

Did you adjust the image fit property?

Yes, I did.

As an example find above a simple slide with just a line.

This is the picture sharpness:

And this is the sharpness in Power BI:

Hi @joshua1990 ,

It still depends on the quality and pixels of the image itself.

Your image will only have the following size if it is not stretched.
