Hello
This is my data
I am trying to do a simple chart
On the X axis I want to see all the stores
And on the Y axis, I want to see the the amount.
At a later stage , I want to see the SUM my store spending on the Y Axis. but at first lets begin simply by seeing the amount charged per Store
Now this should be very simple, I drag the Column A to be the Axis
and I drag Column B to be the Value
But Column B is showing as "Count of CloumnB", not the pure value of Column B
The Column is Decimal Format- not text. which is fine
Any idea why POWERBI is defaulting to "Count of Column" ?
Thank you

Hi @EDH1
Make sure the data type is numeric in both model view and power query view. otherwise, you need to convert these to numeric (go to the Modeling tab and change the Data Type) and then you can perform aggregations like sum, average, etc. If there is only one value per X axis increment, then these aggregations will return the actual value.
If still not working, please kindly share your dummy pbix that we can test it on our side.

Hi @EDH1 ,
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-in/power-bi/create-reports/service-aggregates
Look under troubleshooting .Point No 2. Go to Power Query and change Data Type as Number. Change the 123ABC Datatype to 123 in Power Query.
Also, it is generally a good practise to create a measure for all aggregate columns. One with the Summation Sign.
Here you can create a measure.
Total Amount = SUM ('Table'[Amount Charged])
Pull this in the values field.

@EDH1 , You can rename the column. So when you change aggregation from sum/none to count, it will show count of.
You can double click on the name in the visual pane and rename it.
