Balance amount calculation based on day, week , month, quater, year selecton

How to calculate balance of the account based on selected detailed period, f.e. month selection.

I want from the system calculate running total (Balance) of GL account (summarising each amount of the transaction starting from the begining of the history until the end of each month). How can I achieve it?

There is a built in running total quick measure, I would start with that. Or see if my Time Intelligence the Hard Way provides a different way of accomplishing what you are going for.
