BI Report Builder - Reports will not Run

I am trying to experiment with Paginated Reports using Report Builder.  I do not have PBI Premium, but I can download and run the Desktop BI Report Builder Program.  I have doen the HandsOn Lab, so am confident I'm doing things right, but might be wrong. 

Anyway, I can add a data source, create a dataset from the Source, add fields to a report page, but then get an error when I click Run. 

error says: (401) Unauthorized.

Any ideas?

Can I just Report Builder without publishing?

Did the error message say anything like connection timeout?

Well today it works.  I was prompted to confirm the U and P to pull from the DB, but then it ran just fine.
