BAR CHART HIGHLIGHT

Very quick question,

This is the normal bar chart that we have.

before.png

What the end user wants is whenever they open the report,

the bar chart will show like this:

NOW.png

Only the current year is higlighted but we don't want to lose the colors of the previous years.

Would that be possible in Power BI?

Thanks!

Hi @mussaenda ,

This is possible on the service using the bookmarks and making the default view be aware that this need update when the year changes:

On the desktop version you can also make it with a bookmark, and you need to save your file always with that bookmark  in place, what I mean is that if you use the desktop and start seeing the data and in the end you save with another filter in place it will give you that and not the bookmark with the highlight.

Hi @MFelix ,

You really don't know how much you saved me from my work.

Thank you so much!

Can I accept your answer as a solution 10x? 😁

@mussaenda , This can be done using conditional formatting. But I doubt it is not supported a visual with legends. I do not think you can do conditional formatting for this.
